SYNCHRONIZE COMPUTER TIME WITH GLOBAL CLOCK

Hi friends,

                There may be some problems, because of your time leading or lagging with the global clock (Sometimes problem with unlimited download time range at night times). So you must update your time with the global clock. Follow the steps given below to do so,

• Double Click on the time shown in the task bar
•  A dialog will be displayed, then you check "Automatically synchronize with an internet time server".
• Then select "time.nist.gov"
• Now click on "Update now"
• Finally Click on "Apply"
• That's all, now the time is updated with global time server. you can do any work at your PC at Exact time here after.

Note:

     The correct time Zone must be set during your OS installation to do this process. Else Reset your Time zone.

                    You might be using some trial software and you may want to extend the trial period of that software. But after getting over the trial validity,it asks for buying full version, some of us don't have money to buy those software. Most of the times we will format our PC to run those trial versions again. Now here is a simple trick to extend the validity of Trial version.

                                                                  By changing the serial number of your hard disk drive, you can restart the trial version of your software. But how to do it????

• It's difficult to change the serial number manually
• So that,you can use a software(freeware) to change the serial number
  
• Download Hard Disk Serial Number Changer , freeware to use.
• Install it and Run it after the installation 
• Now a window will be displayed and ask whether you want to change the serial number.
• just click on change
• That's all.. now restart your PC and reinstall the trial versions..

Note:

• Please note down your original serial number, before changing it. Original serial number should be used for claiming warranty for your hard disk.
• All type of trial software can't be restarted using this method.

DISABLE AUTO RESTART IN WINDOWS 7

Hi friend,

               Like Windows XP & Vista ,Windows 7 also having the facility to restart itself(auto-restart). This auto restart will reboot the PC during system crashes like BSOD. Some people may be get irritated due to this auto restart. you can avoid this auto restart, Deactivate auto restart using the following steps,

• Go to Start then select Control Panel
• Then Click on System and security and then click on System Link ( If you are using small or large icon view, you can't see System and security. You just double click on System in this case)
• Then click on the Advanced System Link at the left side of the control panel
• Now click on settings under the Start up and Recovery Label
• The final step is to unselect (uncheck) the Automaticalllly Restart

 

Note: After doing this, the PC won't restart for system crashes and hang, you must restart it manually

CREATE WINDOWS 7 BOOTABLE USB DRIVE

Hi friends, Now a dayz computer world is occupied by netbooks, which doesn't have any inbuilt CD/DVD drive. These are come like this for the purpose of portable usage. So that If you want to install operating systems (Windows Vista,7)  to such computers, you  can do it using external USB DVD drive or you can use USB flash disks.

           There is a simple application named "A Bootable USB",which can be used for creating the bootable USB disk for Windows vista,7 & server 2008.

You can choose the OS files directly from DVD or from your Hard disk drive. Once you created the  USB drive. Install as you do in DVD..

Note: 

• Minimum size gor the USB flash disk to use is 4GB
• Back up the files before creating the bootable USB disk

YOU CAN DISABLE STICKY KEYS POPUP DIALOG

Hi friends, In windows Operating Systems, one of the irritating feature is "Sticky keys" alert (appearance of dialog). when we play games or working on some interesting software, It will be raised due to the continuous pressing(5times faster) of sticky keys(SHIFT, CTRL & ALT).you can disable this alert. 

• Go to control panel-->Ease of Access Center
• from that select Make the keyboard easier to use
• Then uncheck the check boxes "Turn on Filter Keys" and "Turn on Sticky Keys". It means that the alert is currently not active. But it will come,when you press the keys.
• To avoid that, you have to go to “Set up Filter Keys” and  “Set up Sticky Keys"
• At 'Set up Filter keys dialog', uncheck the "Turn on Filter Keys when right SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds"
•  At 'Set up Sticky keys dialog',uncheck the "Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed five times"
•  Now the Sticky/Filter keys pop-up dialog is disabled.

Note: It can be done in Vista & windows 7. Windows XP also having some controls at Control Panel.

MULTIPLE TIME ZONES IN YOUR DESKTOP

 If you have any friends are family members in abroad. you need to know about their time to chat with them & to do so many things. Now you can set a multiple time zones at Vista and Windows 7. 

• Click on the time shown in the right side of the taskbar.
• Then click on Change Date and Time setttings & click on Additional clocks tab
• Mark (check) the box @ "Show this clock"
• Then set the time zones using google(As i said in my previous posts)
• After that,give name for time zones
• Whenever you want to see the time,just click on the time. you will be getting to know the different time zones on your PC desktop

U CAN EXTEND WINDOWS 7 TRIAL FROM 30 DAYS TO 120 DAYS

You know, Windows 7 is free for 30 days trial usage. now you can extend its trial usage to maximum of 120 days without any key.

The Steps to do are given here,

• Go to "My Computer" (Computer) , then  right click the mouse at any blank space & select properties, here you can see the number of days remaining for the trial version.
  
• Make sure that only one day is left for end of trial version
• Then go to Start--> Right click on Command Prompt & select Run as administrator.

• Then the command prompt will show like this "C:\Windows\System32>"
• You just type this command to that "slmgr -rearm" 
•  like this "C:\Windows\System32>slmgr -rearm"
• After  that, there will be a dialog saying Command completed successfully
• Now check the system. It will show the trial period remaining as 30days. Do this process whenever your trial gets over.
